Hello and thank you for visiting Muddy Paws Bath,
I’m Claire Mills and I’m the the owner of Muddy Paws Bath. I’m Bath born, bred and educated at Prior Park & King Edwards School. I grew up in the south of the city with my parents and 2 sisters, a lively and loving West Highland Terrier called Hugo (pictured – he’s the one on the right), Smokey the cat who lived to be 21 years old, and a menagerie of small animals including guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, budgies and my older brother Antony.
I read Psychology at Cardiff University and my professional background is in animal care and husbandry, horticulture and conservation. I spent 4 years working and volunteering at Bath City Farm where I cared for sheep, goats, chickens, cows, and pigs and led play and youth activity sessions in the natural environment. I still look after a flock of 24 Soay Sheep and 9 (soon to be 10) Alpacas for a private client.
While at Bath City Farm, I started Muddy Boots Female Gardening Services and ran it successfully from 2011. This business expanded naturally into caring for client’s animals (companion and working) on a long and short term basis. Earlier this year I made the decision to focus the business on Dog Walking and Pet Visits and Muddy Paws Bath was born.
Muddy Paws Bath provides Dog Walking, Pet Visits, Farm Animal Visits and Pet Taxi Services in and around Bath. We take an animal centered approach. If your furry family member is happy then we’ve done our job.
We take the safety and welfare of our furry clients seriously. I’ve invested in fitting our van out with individual bespoke safety cages to ensure the safety of our animals in transit.
At Muddy Paws Bath; if they’re important to you, they’re important to us. We’ll care for them like they’re our own.
I look forward to caring for your animal!
